Wizard: Visual Analytics for Home Care

The DIVA group at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris is currently seeking motivated candidates for a funded post-doc in information visualization and human-computer interaction. In the context of home-care for aging populations, this project has two goals: research into visual analytics support for hybrid human-machine decision making processes, and the creation of proof-of-concept tools for practitioners. The successful post-doc will explore and develop new models of such hybrid interactions combining machine-learning and visualization in the visual analytics process.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • a Ph.D. in human-computer interaction, information visualization, data science, machine learning, or a related discipline.
  • experience with some or all of the following: mastery of computer science fundamentals and sound development skills; designing information visualizations; user-centered design; machine learning; data science.
  • mastery of written and spoken English

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of James Eagan & Eric Lecolinet in the DIVA group at Télécom Paris and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
