IIT Delhi: strengthening academic ties through new Student Exchange Agreement

Télécom Paris signed a Student Exchange Agreement with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) at the end of 2025. The agreement builds on long-standing collaborations between our institutions in research and international education and creates new opportunities for student mobility.

This development comes in the context of strengthened academic cooperation between France and India, with the recent official visit of the President of the French Republic on the occasion of the Rencontres Universitaires et Scientifiques de Haut Niveau (RUSH) in New Delhi.

IIT Delhi: a leading institution in India

IIT Delhi is one of India’s leading engineering institutions and a major centre for research and innovation. It is consistently ranked #1 in India and among the top universities worldwide in fields aligned with Télécom Paris’s expertise, such as computer science, artificial intelligence, and telecommunications.

Located in the heart of New Delhi, the IIT Delhi campus offers a dynamic and modern environment for students. The campus hosts a wide range of clubs, cultural events, and sports activities, allowing students to meet peers from India and around the world. Student exchange program aligned with Télécom Paris expertise

Under the agreement, students from Télécom Paris and IIT Delhi can take part in academic or research exchanges lasting one or two semesters. The program covers disciplines aligned with Télécom Paris’s recognized international strengths, providing students with high-quality courses and full immersion in an international research environment.

A rewarding student experience

I’m really enjoying my exchange at IIT Delhi! The courses are excellent. My on-campus accommodation is very affordable compared with France, and the welcome from both the administration and students has been fantastic. I’ve already made friends, and I’m making the most of my weekends and holidays to explore India.
