Télécom Paris at EAIE 2025 in Gothenburg
18 September 2025
A week full of warm exchanges, new connections, and fresh perspectives — all alongside colleagues at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) booth.
Exchanges and collaborations
Throughout the week, Télécom Paris representatives engaged in meaningful discussions with partners, including Polytechnique Montréal (Canada), Politecnico di Torino (Italy), NTNU (Norway), Universitatea Politehnica din București (Romania), UC Louvain (Belgium), SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (China/France), and many other leading institutions. These exchanges highlighted shared priorities in fostering student mobility and building strong academic and research collaborations.
Campus visit
The team also visited Chalmers University of Technology, where the campus blends innovation, sustainability, and beauty. The lively presentation even combined music and mathematics, offering valuable insights into the university’s strategy, campus life, and STEM strengths.
Highlights of the week
The official opening at Lisebergs Nöjespark, Scandinavia’s largest amusement park, was a fun and festive start. The following day featured a lively plenary session with keynote speaker Melati Wijsen and a musical ABBA tribute, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
A highlight of the week was the visit of His Excellency Thierry Carlier, French Ambassador to Sweden, to the IP Paris booth. During a lunch offered to the French delegation, he reaffirmed his active support for Franco-Swedish cooperation in higher education and research. This visit follows the signing, on 4 September 2025 in Stockholm, of a Memorandum of Understanding between IP Paris and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Signed in his presence, the agreement strengthens collaboration in key areas such as artificial intelligence, security, energy, and life sciences. Télécom Paris has long had an Erasmus exchange agreement with KTH, as well as a double degree program in its MSc in Engineering.
The conference also featured engaging debates on joint vs double degrees and presentations of innovative digital solutions during the poster session.
Strengthening bonds and future opportunities
Participation in EAIE 2025 reaffirmed the importance of personal connections in reinforcing academic partnerships and creating new opportunities for students — both in Europe and beyond.
Télécom Paris greatly appreciated the warm welcome from our Swedish hosts — Tack så mycket!
A big thank you to the EAIE team, all our international partners, and our colleagues at the other Institut Polytechnique de Paris schools and Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) for such enriching conversations and a wonderful time together.
The next EAIE Annual Conference and Exhibition will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from 8 to 11 September 2026.
