Télécom Paris at EAIE 2026 in Glasgow

Télécom Paris was delighted to take part in the 2026 Annual Conference and Exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE), held in Glasgow, Scotland, from 8 to 11 September 2026.
The event brought together more than…
… for four days of networking and discussions on the future of international higher education.
A week marked by exchanges with our partners and new contacts, a campus visit, and valuable feedback, alongside our colleagues from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
Global partnerships and new opportunities
Throughout the conference, Télécom Paris representatives had the opportunity to meet our international partners and discuss student mobility between our respective institutions, as well as new opportunities.
Among the institutions we met were Aalto University (Finland), American University of Beirut (AUB, Lebanon), Bilkent University (Türkiye), DTU (Denmark), ITÜ (Türkiye), LUT University (Finland), NTNU (Norway), Polytechnique Montréal (Canada), RWTH Universität Aachen, TU Darmstadt, TUM (Germany), Università di Firenze (Italy), Universitatea Politehnica din București (UPB, Romania), and many others.
These exchanges allowed us to strengthen our relationships with our partners and initiate new avenues for collaboration.
Campus visit: University of Strathclyde
The conference also provided an opportunity to visit the campus of the University of Strathclyde, one of Scotland’s leading technological universities. During this visit, we discovered Strathclyde’s strategy for international development, student mobility, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.
The visit also included a tour of the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS), which showcased Strathclyde’s innovative approach, strong industry ties, and active role in Scotland’s reindustrialization.
Other highlights of the week
The official opening ceremony at OVO Hydro kicked off a week rich in meetings and shared experiences, with a performance of traditional Scottish music followed by a plenary conference featuring Beau Lotto.
His presentation highlighted the contribution of international students to the innovation that our societies need, to continue evolving. This essential contribution, however, can only occur through successful integration and shared values.
Télécom Paris also participated in events organized by Campus France, the Norwegian Embassy, and one of our partners.
The conference was, as well, a unique venue to exchange best practices in the internationalization of higher education and international partnerships, through numerous conferences, discussions, and posters presented by universities worldwide.
Participation in EAIE 2026 once again underscored the importance of human relationships in consolidating academic partnerships, sharing expertise, and creating new opportunities for students, staff and researchers.
For Télécom Paris, international openness is an essential dimension of our academic and scientific mission.
