Open Science
« Open Science is for easily sharing scientific research results, processes and publications. It uses the potential of IT to provide free access to publications and, when possible, data, source codes, and research processes ».
The 2021-2024 National Plan for Open Science has three objectives: facilitate free access to publications (Open Access), contribute to data transparency when possible (Open Research Data) and coordinate efforts at European and international level.
In order to reinforce the adoption of open science principles and practices within CNRS, a new regulation has been introduced in 2019 within the institution: only publications submitted through HAL will be listed in the CNRS researchers annual report.
Additionally, in 2020 The French National Research Agency has announced their intention to use HAL to promote the researches it funds. All contributers agree to share their research publications in an open archive.
At the end of 2020 more than 30,400 papers were referenced on HAL with the mention of ANR funding…
