Borrow, return and renew library materials

Borrow

The Télécom Paris’ library contains a collection of more than 20,000 books. It is one of the most significant and specialized libraries on digital technology and telecommunications in France.

All documents can be borrowed, with the exception of newspapers and the latest issues of magazines, which can be consulted on site.

Documents held in reserve (indicated as « Archives Paris » in Koha) are not freely accessible: a request must be made directly to the CRDN. To process your request, please fill in the « Archive Request Form » , available in electronic format or on paper from your library reception desk. Maximum processing time is 48 hours.
For information, the following documents are not available for loan and can therefore only be consulted on site : theses, reports and journals.

Return

You don’t need your badge to return documents to the automatic terminal : just use the « Return » button. Once you’ve checked out your books, place them on the trolley next to it. If the library is closed, you can put the documents inside the return box that is located outside the library (next to the entry).

Renew

You have 3 options:

  • If you want to renew a loan before the end of the 4 week loan period, you can do so online from our online catalog (Koha) after logging in to « Account Log In » on the IMT catalog page.
  • With your student card, use the option « Renew » on the self service station next to the welcome desk inside the library.
  • If you are a day late, the online renewal solution as well as the renewal on the self service station will be unavailable. You need to go to the welcome desk and talk to the librarian.
Overdue loans

After the library has sent you three overdue notices, your borrowing rights will be suspended until you return the loan.
