Juan Rafael Alvarez Velasquez is a researcher in quantum mechanics and the processing of quantum information by light. He has followed an international academic career between France, the UK, Spain and his native Colombia. He obtained his PhD in experimental physics from Oxford University in March 2023, in the Atom-Photon Connection group, before completing a post-doctorate at the Université Paris-Saclay.
