Isabelle Garron is associate professor in média and art studies, within the Department of Economic and Social Sciences of Télécom Paris (Institut polytechnique de Paris) whom she joined in 2006, after 6 years of exercising the same functions at the University for the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (University of Paris 5 René Descartes / University of Evry Val d’Essonne). She is member of the Interdisciplinary Institute of Innovation I3Her academic background is mainly in Literature, Art & Sciences.

She obtained a post-diploma from ENSAD in typographic research (1998) She is a semiologist, PHD in literature letters,( University Denis Diderot, Paris 7, 2000). She is a member of the editorial board of the Revue Communication et Langage. Before joining higher education, she worked in Edition, artistic and cultural. She worked as an artcritic on the set of « Peinture Fraiche » (France Culture / 2005-2009). She is a writer (published by Editions Flammarion since 2002) and a certified art-therapist (2019).

Her research fields  concern the study of writing and reading modes in digital environment (mixed practices, uses of new media, hybridization of documents, digital humanities), the observation of current forms of creation, the creation & design of educational devices aimed at stimulating the “creative trust” of learners (openness to the worlds of art, practices of creative and professional writing workshops, etc.)
