Maurice Gagnaire received the Engineering Degree from the Institut National des Télécommunications (now Télécom SudParis), the Master’s Degree in computer systems from Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI), the Ph.D. Degree from the École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (now Télécom Paris), and the Habilitation à diriger des Recherches (HDR) from Université de Versailles.

He has been at Télécom Paris (then ENST) since 1987, where he is currently full Professor in the Networks and Computer Science Departement.

Maurice Gagnaire Has served as an expert for The National Science Foundation (USA), The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (Canada), The City University of New-York (USA), The Research Foundation of Flanders (Belgium) and the ARCEP (Autorite de Regulation des Communications Electroniques et des Postes), the French organization for the regulation of public data networks.

He has been granted by an « IBM Faculty award » in 2014 for his course on Cloud Computing.
