The project “The Emergence of Public Controversies in Science, Technology & Medicine: A New Methodological Paradigm” will be carried out in 2020-2022 in partnership between Télécom Paris and the Center for Science, Technology, Medicine, & Society (CSTMS), University of California, Berkeley.
The project awarded by France-Berkeley Fund offers an empirical study and public discussion of some recent technoscientific controversies with a focus on their genesis, dynamics and ‘mobilized’ publics.
The project is led by Elena Conis (UC Berkeley) and Laura Draetta (Télécom Paris, Economy and Social Sciences department). Valérie Fernandez is associated with this project.
