Gérard Memmi is currently professor and Head of the Computer Science Networks & Department at Télécom Paris since 2009. Before joining Télécom Paris, Gérard Memmi held various executive positions in American start-ups.

‍ He succeeded in delivering the industry’s best-in-class equivalency checker when he was VP of Core Technology, and subsequently CTO, at Chrysalis a start-up purchased by Synopsys, where he focused on improving the architecture and performances of formal methods for electronic design verification. While founding and developing the Applied Research Laboratory for Groupe Bull in the US, he was honored as Principal Investigator for a DARPA grant on Collaborative Software. He developed one of the very first real time collaborative systems including business process monitoring applied to software engineering or later to the EMR (Electronic Medical Records).

‍ He has over 70 publications including patents, co-authored a book, gave keynotes presentations in International Conferences, and supervised over 30 doctoral students. He is holding a thèse d’Etat in Computer Science from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris. Gérard Memmi is constantly involved in the development of key scientific and industrial partnership. He is member of the board of the IRT SystemX.
