Télécom Paris, 19 place Marguerite Perey F-91120 Palaiseau [getting there], amphi Thévenin
This lecture offers a journey through research conducted in fieldwork settings across more than thirty countries. In both the Global North and the Global South, this research seeks to make visible the activities, infrastructures, and people required for systems presented as autonomous to function. The aim is not only to understand what automation does to work, but also everything that automation still owes to human labour.
