Bethany Cagnol est fière d’être membre du Département Langues et Cultures (LC) de Télécom Paris. Elle est chargée d’enseignement en anglais mais aide également Télécom Paris à la mise en place d’enseignements scientifiques et transversaux en anglais (EMI – English as a medium of instruction – Anglais comme langue d’apprentissage). Elle aide enseignants et enseignants-chercheurs qui le souhaitent à donner leurs cours en anglais, publier des articles et/ou faire des présentations lors de conférences en anglais. Elle s’était spécialisée dans la communication pour la communauté scientifique, la prise de parole en public, le coaching linguistique et l’évaluation des compétences linguistiques.

Au cours de ses 20 années d’expérience, elle a été chef de projet, chef d’entreprise et auteur de diverses publications pédagogiques. Elle a une assez grande expérience du travail avec des professionnels du secteur public et privé pour l’amélioration de leurs compétences de communication en anglais.

Les cours de langues qu’elle dispense aux élèves de Télécom Paris comprennent la prise de parole en public, la communication professionnelle, la communication dans un contexte international. En 2021, elle était chef de projet et co-auteur avec Sinead Namur et Cécile Michaut du MOOC Promote your Scientific Results qui est disponible sur Coursera et qui a remporté le prix de l’engagement, de la pédagogie et de l’enseignement de l’Institut Mines-Télécom en 2023. En 2024, elle a lancé le ELEVATE Center d’IP Paris, une unité interdisciplinaire qui soutient la communauté académique en matière de communication scientifique, la vulgarisation et accompagnement linguistique dans l’ensemble d’IP Paris.
