First Partnership in Chile with PUC Chile
Télécom Paris is pleased to announce the signing of an exchange agreement with the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC Chile).
This inaugural partnership on Chilean soil relies on two complementary components: a framework agreement, which outlines the major directions of our cooperation, and an exchange agreement that promotes student mobility and academic collaboration.
This partnership opens up new opportunities for scientific and cultural exchanges, further strengthening our ties with Latin America.
BRAFITEC Programme: Three New Projects and Funding for Student Mobility with Brazil
As part of our commitment to internationalizing our curricula, we are pleased to announce the acceptance of three new BRAFITEC* projects, selected through the 2024 call for proposals.
These agreements will commence this year with an initial duration of two years, renewable for an additional two years. Télécom Paris, Télécom SudParis, and ENSTA respectively lead them. Thanks to this initiative, we will be able to strengthen scientific cooperation and fund both degree granting and non-degree mobility through scholarships provided by CAPES in Brazil and managed by CDEFI in France.
With these three new projects, Télécom Paris now participates in six BRAFITEC projects, in collaboration with several partner schools and universities. These six ongoing projects represent a strategic opportunity to support academic mobility and Franco-Brazilian cooperation, while offering students and researchers access to enriching international experiences.
Furthermore, from June 10 to 12, 2025, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris hosts the BRAFITEC Forum in association with CentraleSupélec. The forum takes place at Télécom Paris on June 12. Approximately 300 participants are expected at this event, which will provide a unique opportunity to showcase our initiatives and strengthen our synergies.
*The BRAFITEC scholarships are a key financial mechanism aimed at promoting international mobility among engineering students between French and Brazilian institutions. In Brazil, funding is provided by CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior), while in France, the management is handled by CDEFI.
Signing of a Quadripartite Partnership with Unicamp, a Historic Partner of Télécom Paris
In December 2024, Télécom Paris renewed its double degree agreement with the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp). This quadripartite agreement brings together Unicamp for Brazil and Télécom Paris, Télécom SudParis, and ENSTA for France. Set for a duration of 5 years, it will be automatically renewed.
Télécom Paris continues a long-standing collaboration that began in 2009 with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and an initial double degree signed in 2013.
This partnership involves several Unicamp faculties and institutes:
- Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science
- Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
- Faculty of Technologies, along with various specialized institutes
- Institute of Computer Science
- Institute of Physics
- Institute of Mathematics, Statistics, and Scientific Computing
This agreement strengthens our academic exchanges and enhances mobility opportunities, notably through the BRAFITEC program, which awards up to 4 student mobility scholarships per university and per project each year.
Télécom Paris Renews Its Double Degree Agreement with UFRGS in Brazil
We are pleased to announce the renewal of the double degree agreement between Télécom Paris and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). This partnership reinforces our longstanding and close ties, which rely on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and an initial double degree signed as early as 2009.
Student mobility—whether degree-oriented or not—between UFRGS and Télécom Paris is supported by the BRAFITEC program. This renewal underscores our commitment to building a strong and lasting collaboration with our Brazilian partners.
